I am glad to tell you this month that if
you are in Christ Jesus you have been delivered from the evil foundation of
your father’s house. Much has been taught and preached about evil foundation
that many believers are now living below their potential and having excuses for
their failure or inability to go forward in life due to the doctrine of evil
foundation. Is there evil foundation? Yes, there is evil foundation. Every
family, tongue, tribe and nation has evil foundations. Evil foundation is everywhere and not only in
Africa. It is in Europe, USA, Asia, Australia, etc. Many towns and nations are founded on blood
of innocent men and women. So there is evil foundation everywhere.
Since the fall of our foster parents,
Adam and Eve, the foundation of the world has been corrupted and polluted, and
the earth came under God’s curse. It is written: “And to Adam he said,
“Because you have listened to the voice of your wife, and have eaten of the
tree of which I commanded you, ‘You shall not eat of it,’ cursed is the
ground because of you; in toil you shall eat of it all the days of your
life; thorns and thistles it shall bring forth to you;” (Genesis 3:17-18)
It is clear that the whole earth came
under God’s curse and as a result, the earth became polluted. But when Jesus
Christ came He offered Himself as a sacrifice to redeem man from this evil
foundation. That is why the bible says: “Therefore if anyone is in Christ,
he is a new creation, the old has passed away, behold, the new has come” (2
Cor.5:17).
Wow! If any man is in Christ, he is a new
creation. That is, he is a new being with a new life, a new root, a new
foundation and a new origin. He is no longer who he used to be.
Beloved, if you are in Christ Jesus you
have become a new creation with a new life, a new foundation and a new origin.
You have been translated from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of God
(Col.1:13).
Two spiritual kingdoms exist here on earth,
namely, the kingdom of darkness where satan is king, lord and head and the
kingdom of God where Christ Jesus is the King, Lord and Head. Jesus Christ is
the king over the kingdom of God because God gave Him the authority to rule and
reign over His kingdom (Matthew 28:18).
Moreover these 2 kingdoms represent 2
spiritual foundations to which any man could belong. And we know that according
to the scripture that if any man is born again, he has been delivered from the
dominion and authority of darkness and transferred into the kingdom of God’s
Son, Jesus Christ. We also know that satan is the foundation of the kingdom of
darkness because he started it while Christ Jesus is the foundation of God’s
kingdom for it is written: “for no other foundation can anyone lay than that
which is laid, which is Jesus Christ” (1 Cor.3:11).
Therefore if you are in Christ Jesus,
Jesus Christ is your new foundation and the old has to give way to the new.
Jesus said, ‘I am the vine, you are branches. He who abides in me and I in
him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing’
(John 15:5).
Friend, Jesus Christ is your foundation
and root if you are born again and your name is written in the book of life. He
is the vine and you are the branch of the vine. The vine is the root,
foundation, source and life of the branch. Hence, Jesus Christ is your root,
foundation, source and life. At salvation, God the Father rooted you out of
that evil foundation to which you were born and were grafted into Christ Jesus
who has become your new root. That is why the bible says: “If the dough offered
as first fruits is holy, so is the whole lump; and if the root is holy, so are
the branches. But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, a
wild olive shoot, were grafted in their place to share the richness of
the olive tree” (Rom.11:16-17)
According to this scripture, you’re
referred to as wild olive shoot because of your evil foundation but you’re cut
off by God from that wild olive tree which represent your foundation (your evil
family tree) and were grafted by God into Christ Jesus to share in His
richness.
Beloved, how can you still be connected
to the evil foundation since God has cut you off? It is just like when Paul
says that how can we who died to sin still live in it, God forbid. You have
been delivered from evil foundation the day you confessed Jesus as your Lord
and Saviour. The salvation of your soul
brought you into the kingdom of God where satan has no power, authority and
say. Your salvation terminates his ownership, headship and kingship over your
life and destiny.
If there is any issue, it has to do with
how you live your Christian life. You can’t be a believer and you want to live
like an unbeliever. There is going to be troubles. Every act of sin links you
to the kingdom of darkness for it is written: “He who commits sin is of the
devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning” (1 John3:8).
In
other words, anyone who sins belongs to the devil. What normally connects
believers to evil foundation is the works of flesh and secret sins. To some it
could be uncontrollable anger, rebellion against authority, masturbation,
uncontrollable sexual lust, pride, inability to pay tithes, telling lies
effortlessly, envy, and jealousy, etc. it could be support for their idolatry
festivals.
Hear me, as long as you are hooked up
with the works of flesh and secret sins, the powers behind the evil foundation
of your father’s house will always bring you down no matter how hard you pray.
Your problem is not the evil foundation but what you are doing now that is
empowering them against you. If you want freedom, you have to stop that work of
flesh/secret sins that still connect you to the evil and satanic foundation of
your father’s family. If there is any deliverance that you need, it is
deliverance from the works of flesh that connect you to the evil foundation.
As long as you continue in that work of
flesh, you will be bound by the evil foundation of your father’s house. Now is
the time to destroy that which makes you a slave to powers and angels of
darkness that are in charge of evil foundation of your father’s family. If you are not born again, you need salvation
to have victory and dominion over powers of your father’s house. The greatest
crime against your own soul is to live all your life on earth for pleasure not
for Him who sent you on errand in the earth.
Now is the time to surrender all to God
and give Him your best i.e. your heart. Your heart is the greatest gift you can
ever give to God not your money or your car. If you want to do this today, say
this prayer after me:
Heavenly Father, I come to you in the
name of Jesus Christ. I recognize myself today as a sinner that needs your
mercy, I now ask that you forgive me all my sins and wash me clean in the blood
of the Lamb of God. I take you at your word. I confess that Jesus is Lord and I
believe in my heart that you raised Him from the dead. Thank you for coming
into my heart, for giving me your Holy Spirit as you have promised, and for
being my Lord. Amen
